AMD overdrive dowload

See video on how to use it. Here it is the download link.

The beauty of K10 is you can clock each core independently. So, you can have one core running at 3.2GHZ and the other running at 2.2GHZ. Intel won't have such technology before it BKs.

Interesting development as AMD truly kicked into overdrive with virtually unlimited funding by middle eastern oil rich wealth. AMD-Middle East vs Intel-Israel anyone?

Since there is so little time left in 2007, 39 days to Christmas, that means AMD will be selling close to 1 million quad core cpus per month.

IBM's Roadrunner to be the fastest supercomputer
Thursday November 15, 2007 08:29:43 EST
Nov 15, 2007 (Datamonitor via COMTEX News Network) --

IBM is developing Roadrunner, a super computer that will combine Cell BE processors, a family of chips made in partnership with Sony, and processors from Advanced Micro Devices.
Roadrunner will be delivered to the US Department of Energy's Los Alamos National Laboratory in the summer of 2008.

According to IBM, the Roadrunner will be capable of performing more than a quadrillion operations, or a petaflop, when it's fully operational. It will be designed to allow the system to segment complex mathematical equations and route each of these segments for efficient handling. Computing processes such as file input and output (IO), and communication activity will be handled by Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) Opteron processors while complex and repetitive elements that traditionally consume the majority of supercomputer resources will be handled by 16,000 Cell BE processors.

IBM claims that the Roadrunner will be twice as powerful as its Blue Gene supercomputer located at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory which is capable of 478.2 teraflops a second. This Blue Gene is currently the world's fastest supercomputer according to a list of top supercomputers released by SC07, an international conference for high performance computing, networking, storage and analysis held at Reno, Nevada. In June, the Livermore machine was upgraded to a speed rating of 478 trillion mathematical operations per second from 280 teraflops with an increase in number of processors from 130,072 to 212,992. The second fastest machine is also a Blue Gene located at the Forschungszentrum Juelich in Germany. It is powered by 65,536 processors.

Hewlett-Packard's supercomputer located at Computational Research Laboratories (CRL), a subsidiary of the Tata conglomerate in India, is ranked in fourth place according to SC07's list. The HP's cluster platform 3000 BL460c system at CRL has performance of 117.9 teraflops.

Earlier, supercomputers were built on large-scale monolithic designs that were not capable of distributing computing activities while now the supercomputers are assembled through a group of smaller servers woven together with the help of high-speed links.

Abu Dhabi Govt. Reportedly To Buy 9% Stake In Advanced Micro Devices for $700 million dollars.

Leaders and Laggards: S&P 500 according to stock analysts AMD is a 3.42% gainer in the stock market.

BUY AMD hi performance, energy saving, low cost cpus, platforms, and video solutions.

So basically K10 is not good enough for doing the real job and are left there to be a fancy router delivering data to Cells.

Why would I buy one of those when I already own two quads that will perform better than those overengineered underperforming peices of garbage?

Also - as you can't read and two people have already pointed out - those aren't in stock.

So to sum it up - no thanks - I'll stick with my QX9650 and my Q6600, the last of which outperforms all of the NOT IN STOCK items you linked.

You fail. Moron.

I don't need to follow the link to know that you're a douchebag, Sharikou.

Blah blah 4 cores blah K10 blah Intel BK blah blah AMD is the best blah blah dowload blah blah.

You will forever be playing this game of blogging about how much Intel sucks. I took a couple weeks off from reading this blog only to come back and see the same shit over and over, but only the links change.

The only guy that makes perfect sense in this place is evil_merlin because he at least doesn't bother linking to bullshit web sites and posting ambiguous numbers to support his conclusions. He just tells you that you're a cum-slurper and the point is made, and perhaps he may be wrong (doubtful) but he's laying it out the way he sees it and not trying to fudge shit to support his opinions.

Also, dear oneexpert (aka Sharikou), your copy and paste skills are unrivaled. However, just posting a link to a site that no one will visit is probably far easier than posting 10 paragraphs of shit that no one will read. Spare us the tagline sales pitches too, if you haven't already noticed, anyone visiting this site already have their perspectives and you of all people aren't going to change them. You just look like even more of a fucking retard.

So Howell, when is Phenom going to ship? Pushing back dates now, aren't we? Scrambling for excuses now? Why the hell can't anyone find Barcelonas? Can't wait for Agena's symbolic launch.

Nice try fanboy.

But really Chris, tell us what you perceive to be the "launch date" of Phenom? What will be the highest frequency at launch?

I remember you pissing and moaning saying that we'd be all "ramped" up to 3.0 ghz chips by December. Hell, I can't even find a place where I could buy a 1.7ghz chip. Dell, HP, and IBM all say that Barcelona is MIA, they've got no chips.

Now tell me again, how wonderful is the native quad-core? Is it as wonderful as it is imaginary? Intel's "double cheeseburger":

A) Is available and has been for over a year
B) Is more than affordable
C) Beat the non-existent paper launched products of AMD
D) Is profitable, VERY profitable for Intel

So once again Baron, tell me if AMD's is so superior and is doing everything right, then why are they bleeding billions of dollars this year and why can't the launch a damn product?

C'mon Chrissy, enlighten us.

AMD Phenom X4 processor pricing update

12:10 PM, November 16, 2007
Blogger Spaztic Pizza said...

Yes - great pricing - to be comepetitive with Intel's year old quad they HAVE to price them this low because in terms of performance they barely keep up with the Q6600 - so pricing SHOULD be similar. If anyone thinks Intel won't respond then they're as retarded as Sharidouche.

The only thing AMD has fragged 40% of is their shareholders stock value (Actually, substantially more than that, somewhere near 60% roughly, but you get the idea). AMD's stockholders should be screaming for Hector's head right now...the only reason their not I can surmise is they're fucking idiots....

So after two months of being launched, why don't AMD have enough CPUs for their tier one vendors like IBM, Sun and Dell etc?

crippled qx6700 frags a stock gp-9600.

It's even worse when you consider that the QX6700 was stuck with a 920Mhz(!) FSB and still won most of the tests.

Why would I want to run one core at 3.2Ghz and three at 2.2 Sharikou? With this Q6600 I can run all four cores fine at 3.3Ghz. B3 stepping hits 3.3 -> 3.4Ghz on good air cooling (pay attention to the fan in that AMD video - that's no stock fan) and G0 stepping Q6600 can hit ~3.6Ghz. Of course, for those who can justify spending the cash on the QX9650... well, in excess of 4Ghz on air is certainly possible.
