Intel knows that it's doomed

Intel knows that it has no future.

In the past 9 years, Intel made no innovation and copied AMD on every step. Intel copied AMD64--the 64 bit extension to x86, even though it tried to deny it for years. Intel copied multi-core from AMD. They copied embedded memory controller from AMD, and finally the cache coherent hypertransport from AMD, which Intel calls Quick Path. Intel even followed AMD's footsteps to offload cellphone business (big mistake) and flash business.

AMD has set the standards.

Now, there is something Intel could not and cannot copy: Fusion.

AMD made the bold, preemptive move to spend $5 billion to acquire ATI, and started tightly integrating high end visual technology with its AMD64 cores.

The name of the game is Fusion.

Intel suddenly find itself in a tight corner. It cannot get its hands on Nvidia for 10 thousand reasons--- anti trust regulation being one of them. It is stuck with ancient DX10 graphics vastly inferior to AMD in every aspect.

Now, AMD has a lead that Intel cannot hope to overcome...

Yet, AMD is not sitting idle. It has endeavored to create a new Fusion ecosystem, with OpenCL and Microsoft's Open-AMP as the software platform. More and more applications will be written to harvest the gigantic compute power of the 400+ shader processors which impales anything Intel by a factor of 10 or more.

Fusion is AMD's rise to dominance and Intel's doom.

Shriadouche, you are a fucking idiot.

Intel owns server.
Intel owns high end desktop/workstation.
Intel owns mid level desktop/workstation.
Intel owns low end desktop/workstation.
Intel owns high end laptop.
Intel owns midlevel laptop.

The ONLY place Intel is lacking is lower end laptop.

And newsflash, what makes the most money for chip manufacturers? the high end and server world.

AMS is still pissing away money Q after Q. FOr the past SIX years you've been claiming Intel is doomed.

Yet they keep growing and getting stronger and stronger.

You are a dumb motherfucker, and the only thing that would be good for you is for you to get hit by a bus and take Penix with you.

PS: you also said when AMD released the K7 that Intel could never catch up...

They not only caught up, they surpassed AMD in every way in less than two years. And AMD has YET to get the lead back.

Fucking idiot. Keep dreaming

Sharikou is dead on again with his latest assessment. GPGPU computing is hitting mainstream in a big way. AMD leads the industry in this regard, and Nvidia is left in the dust. As for Intel's offering? Well, they are face down in a ditch somewhere hundreds of miles behind.

Well Evil Merlin, I drop in here every few months to check up on what's going on here and I see that even after all these years you are STILL hanging on every word Mr. Sharikou has to say. Not to mention you bad grammar. Your infantile attitude and explicative laden nonsensical replies are a tribute to bad public schooling. You should thank god for this blog. Where else could you mouth off about things you have no clue about and NOT get punched in the mouth?

I'll agree that some of what Sharikou posts is a bit on the edge, but you sir are living proof of the dangers of inbreeding. Just say no to cousins......

Hypertransport was developed from DEC Alpha patents which is OWNED by Intel (when Intel bought DEC). IMC was also developed by Intel FIRST (since the 386 days). Multi-core was not first developed by AMD either. That is why Intel can have free reign with QPI, IMC and MC which AMD cannot complain anything about it.

Time running out for dinosaurs AMD and sharidouche, extinction looms.......

At least I'm not hiding in Anonymity fuckwit.

As for you claiming I don't know what I'm talking about, do you have any facts to back that up, or are you just too busy defending your ass-pals Shiradouche and Penix?

AMD set the standards?

AMD owes it's very existance to technology created, then licensed to them, by Intel.

So, you fail. Again.
