Nvidia driver consistently crashes Vista

I had a few crashes already, the BSOD shows nvstor32.sys as the problem.

Others had similar problems with Nvidia. My ATI based system is rock solid.

Sharikou,

I guess you've given up trashing Intel and are now moving on to Nvidia.

Maybe you have caught wind that Intel's going to report blow-out Q3 earnings?

Are you developing a fever or something?

if you don't like Nvidia based motherboards, use an Intel based motherboard.

Oh wait, you use an AMD processor. I guess you could use Via chipsets...

WOW.

Look at those Intel numbers!!

When's that BK again?

Intel Corp., the world's largest semiconductor maker, said Tuesday its third-quarter earnings rose 43 percent as strong demand for notebook computers drove sales of the company's microprocessors.
Net income for the quarter ended Sept. 29 grew to $1.86 billion, or 31 cents per share, from $1.30 billion, or 22 cents per share, a year ago.

Revenue climbed 15 percent to $10.09 billion from $8.74 billion in the prior-year period.

Analysts surveyed by Thomson Financial expected a profit of 30 cents per share on revenue of $9.62 billion.

In September, the company surprised investors by raising its revenue outlook to a range of $9.4 billion to $9.8 billion, citing strong worldwide demand for chips.

Intel President and CEO Paul Otellini said in a statement he expects revenue and operating income will continue to improve into the fourth quarter.

Time to pull a one_expert except that this is not bullshit and I won't inject lies like he does:
INTEL POSTS RECORD THIRD-QUARTER REVENUE
• Revenue $10.1 Billion, up 15 Percent Year-over-Year
• Operating Income $2.2 Billion, up 64 Percent Year-over-Year
• Record Microprocessor, Chipset and Flash Unit Shipments
• Net Income $1.9 Billion
• EPS 31 Cents

Highlights from Intel's earnings report which you can get at their website.

So how long before that Christian Howell the Third comes out and says that 1.9 billion in pure profit means Intel is about to go out of business since AMD will "only" lose 500 million?

How long before Abinstein says that Intel will go out of business because they don't use AMD's bullshit SoI process?

How long before Sharikou posts another offtopic and inane comment, like how Microsoft should have held up its console for 3 years to put in a crappy AMD chip, or how AMD/ATI is so great because its drivers occasionally work on Windows?

Intel is able to hold it's price, while AMD has to keep devaluing its processors.

I wonder if their opinion has changed about chipzilla since the 2,000 got a notice of impending imminent departure?

All these results are nothing. There is a new stepping of Barcelona coming, and with that AMD will increase clocks to 4.7Ghz because they use IBM's process and IBM has POWER6 CPUs that fast!

Intel's BK will be quick and violent and Hector's K10 troops destroy Intel. Intel BK by Q2'08.

Sorry, couldn't help myself! Now I don't know how these AMD fanboys pull that kind of garbage out of nowhere all the time.

Wow. 1.9bn in profit. That sounds like more than AMD will have in revenues! People just can't get enough of the awesome power of Core 2 Duo for notebooks and desktops.

Here's a great microcosm of why Intel is by far #1 and AMD is just a second-rate imitator (from the "30000 3dMark" Inquirer)

CEO Paul Otellini put the results down to great products and better worldwide demand.

He was graceful enough not to mention the competition - AMD - which has rather spectacularly shot itself in both feet this year.

Otellini showed no smugness in the press release. After the Intel debacles of the last few years, he will not be crowing but surely delivering shareholder value, going forward.

You see, Intel just goes out and does a great job and doesn't constantly bitch and blame other people for all of its problems. Unlike AMD where the only thing Hector does (when not giving himself fat bonuses or promoting ex-Motorola cronies who are running the company into the ground) is bitch about how terrible things are because evil Intel has to go out and actually build better products that people want to buy.

Hey Sharikou, you racist fucktard: Hector bitches and moans about Intel making all of life's problems the same way you bitch about jewish people! Maybe you two could go into group psychotherapy to learn that you should 1. Not be fucking racists; and 2. Learn to take responsibility for your own problems in life and not blame your own failings on others.

THANKS TO AMD

intel(copytel) profits are up thanks to AMD bearing all r&d developement costs for the nehalem(barcelona knock off).

About those intel numbers, they dont add up correctly.
Otellini must be using Enron accounting with intel cpu computers to figure profits.

intel still shrinking.
intel to lay off another 2000 workers in 4Q.
intel says they will lay off 2000 of there 90000 workers and then they will have only 86000 workers, this does not add up correctly.

intel is firing 4000 workers to end up at 86000, they must be using c2d pentium 3s to do there math, cause 90000 minus 2000 does not equal 86000.

intel (copytel) is going to knock off AMD superior technology for there new nehalem.

Intel(copytel) is going to copy the AMD geode for there new cpu for the OLPC.

BUY AMD, technology so good intel copies it daily.

BUY AMD hi performance, energy saving, low cost cpus, platforms, and video solutions.

Why so? Does the voices in your head told you they were wrong?

90000-2000 = ~2.2% of total workforce. If AMD would fire around as much workers they would need to get rid of only ~365 workers. IIRC not too long ago AMD got rid of ~1000 workers.

Just like what Nvidia's SLI did to ATI, AMD 4x4 will force Intel to react. A 4x4 sticker is just like a SLI sticker: it devalues the competition.

Good going oneexpert! if the world didn't already know you have the intelligence of a pile of old dog shit, it now knows you have less intelligence than a pile of dog shit.

When you learn a little something on how a business actually works (and using AMD as an example, isn't, as right now they are not:
1.) Making money
2.) Making the investors in the company happy
3.) Delivering products on time
4.) Delivering products that can compete with its competitors products)

But since all you know how to do is cut and paste, I doubt you would be able to figure it out on your own.

MORE LAY OFFS AT INTEL....

Intel to shed another 2,000 jobs

Off with their heads

By INQUIRER newsdesk: Wednesday, 17 October 2007, 12:32 PM

CHIP GIANT Intel is to slash its workforce by another 2,000 before the end of the year despite posting strong third quarter results.

The latest round of layoffs will bring to 8,000 the total number of Intel employees shown the door in 2007.

Chipzilla says the move is aimed at reducing costs by $3 billion over a two-year period.

The news came as Intel announced its latest quarterly results, saying demand was better than expected across its businesses and life was generally looking rather rosy.

Not quite so rosy if you just happen to be an Intel employee. µ

Maybe intel will become the first employeeless company.
If a semiconductor sells in the woods but there is no employee to take the money and no employee to record the sale is there still a profit?

Latest estimates show 10000 fired in 2007, accelerates intels disappearance.

Once again, successful companies make money and yes, they even do layoffs if it can save them money.

Intel never fired a large number of staff in 2005. It wasn't until 2006 that the layoffs began.

You see oneexpert, unlike you most of us here have a brain. Intel can't just fire 10,000 and magically have it's profit go up the same quarter.

Of course you're very curious as to why this is. I'll explain it to you. When they fire someone they have to pay them all the sick leave and annual leave (holidays) that the employee has accumulated. In addition to that, they have to pay a severance package. At my place of employment, for instance, this is four weeks of regular pay if you've been with the company for at least one year. This then goes up one week for each year of service with the company until you reach around 12 weeks.

So when you have to pay each employee thousands of dollars, and you're firing 10,000 people you're going to take a BIG hit on your earnings (or lack thereof, in AMD's case). The savings from a reduced number of staff won't be noticed until the quarters after the layoffs.

BUY AMD hi performance, energy saving, low cost, cpus, platforms and video solutions from a growth company.

How is AMD a 'growth company' when their revenues were down 30% YoY last quarter and profits were down a whopping 700% YoY last quarter?!
