Quad core K10 for $230

65 watt, 20% faster than 2.33 GHZ Intel quad, $230. Now, one can have a 8 way workstation for $1000.

Latest AMD SPEC_int_2006 score (8 cores, 2.5GHZ)): 102, Intel (8 cores, 3GHZ): 60.3 (

Test date: Jul-2007). AMD leads by 69%.

AMD SPEC_FP_2006 score (16 cores, 2.5GHZ): 160, Intel (16 cores, 3GHZ): 113.

Just to be clear before everyone pounces on my good man Sharikou for his math error, he is actually comparing it to existing 8-way dual core machines. Thus 4-way quad core is equal to old 8-way dual core!

How do I know this? I have been reading this blog for too long.

20% faster? The 1.7 GHz quad isn't even as fast as Intel's slowest quad core.

Sharidouche, did you get fired from Intel because you can't do math?

PS: Intel's Quadcore which runs circles around that $230 AMD processor:

If you don't want the Xeon, Intel, unlike AMD does offer a true desktop Quad processor.

There you have it folks, There you have it.

His PHd is useless, he can't even compare the right benchmarks LOL. Only AMD fannies will believe that non-sense. HAHAHHA

Just so everyone is clear....

Sharikock just owned himself by comparing 8 Xeon cores with 16 Barcelona cores.

Barcelona gets raped in both SpecINT and SpecFP in 1P and 2P server space. Do you guys know what the server majority is......thats right, 1P and 2P...that's where the $$$$$$$$$$ is at.

AMD is a lost cause.

I always read Sharidouche's blog for entertainment, and this assclown never fails to deliver.

He was never relevant, but now it's downright embarrassing for this asshat.

This is so funny. The SPECInt scores WERE FOR 8 Tulsa cores but the SPECfp scores are for Harpertown

Tulsa = 71xx
Harpertown = 73xx

Maybe you should all try to separate the companies from their "fans." Sharikou undoubtedly has NOTHING to do with AMD or Intel. Stop acting like it.

And just like I said before SPEC scores vary widely depending on the submitter and the HW they use.
