Turion 64 for high class people

$350,000 notebook with Turion 64. You don't want a dull Intel Core Duo with the danger of explosion, not to mention that the "Core Duo" brand name sounds vulgar and dim witted.

Sorry to contradict you Sharikou, but the article states:

"Don't expect a powerful workhorse when buying the Tulip, as the system relies on a single-core AMD Turion processor."

Don't expect a powerful workhorse when buying the Tulip, as the system relies on a single-core AMD Turion processor. However, the 5.7-pound package also offers a 12.1-inch WXGA (1280x800) widescreen, ATI's Radeon Xpress 200M chipset, Bluetooth 2.0 and 801.11 abg Wi-Fi, as well as a front-loading DVD/CD burner. The DVD player can play movies without turning the notebook on. And, there is a customized USB-stick cap that comes with the laptop.
Is there a dearth of positive AMD news/negative Intel news that you would stoop to this...crap?

A TX2 is for serious people for business and the C2D is for a child. Sounds like a retard made up the name Core 2 Duo.

I sure as hell wouldn't buy a Lap-top that blows up. Funny how not one TX2 has ever malfunctioned like that. Seriously I wouldn't be caught dead with a laptop that has such a fairy tail name for a processor in it.

A fairy tail name comes with fairy tail performance and the cache is all to thank for its lies.

LOL.. anyboy who has 350K won't by a AMD powered laptop.. that is for sure. He'd spend 999 for a core2 powered vista ready PC and take the other 349.001K and go have a good time.

Maybe he would go to BK and supersize it and tell the Pretender to stop flogging them burgers in the microwave

LOL the prople buying a laptop like that dont care about the performance or what components are used. They care about the 350.000 USD signal it sends to others. Like paris hilton driving a Mercedes McLaren SLR all show and no go.

If I paid $350,000 for a laptop, then it exploded, I would probably kill the person who sold it to me.

AMD vs. Intel. In this case it would be a life or death situation.

Wow, I didn't know a CPU was all it takes to determine the 'class' of a person. So anybody using an Intel CPU is a 'lower class' person and doesn't deserve the respect of society now?

Man, you are getting desperate Doc. It's plainly obvious to everyone you are clutching at straws for 'positive news' for AMD.

Yo AO are your those WTF does that stand for Ass O?

Post your # I'll give it a jingle.

Anyone who is an AMD fan today is someone rootting for a second class manufacture using German Labor instead of the hardworking engineers in Austin to manufature.

Whats worst they are making 2nd class CPUs...

Jokes on you AO.

The only thing you prove with your statement is that intel users (like you) are 2nd class citizens. By the way, why post as anonymous and not use your name? Even a Bob will do it.

I smell Sharikou #2! It's hilarious Azary that you can spin anything into a positive for AMD.

I've actually seen a 'Tulip' about 6 months ago.

It's junk. Comes with a microfibre 'skin' on it, which you can get 'custom'. The company that makes the skins has a minimum run of 10000, making your custom computer not-so-custom. It's a frikking laptop. Nothing special. Designed for 'fashionistas' was the rep's actual words.

By the way, the name 'Turion' sounds like 'Tron', which is 80's and cheap sounding. Not that 'Core Duo' sounds much better. If I could name a processor I'd call it..."Sexycore".

Off topic:
AMD CPUs are in such demand at newegg - they doubled the price.
Athlon 3800+ (single core)
Makes you think doesn't it.

It is priced higher than X2 3800... How retarded is that?

The E-Go is a lifestyle product which is not aimed for computer enthusiasts . It's more of a fashion accessory. The product has been in market since last year and till now they have not changed its tech specs only because they just don't need to do it. The time during which it touched the market was when intel was still betting hard upon its pentium 4 and no one at intel wud have dreamt of anything like core.

For E-Go, upgrade will only come as addition of some more diamonds or something like that.

Quoting what he said because it's just to funny not to...

I wouldn't pay $350 for an AMD based laptop let alone $350K. Your tired insistance that it was Intels procs that caused the battery explosion issue when Sony *admitted* that it was their issue boggles my mind. I seriously hope someone it Intel is planning legal action against you...

The *only* thing vulgar and dimwitted here is you.

No one wants to buy slow Crapteron or Turdion processors. They are slow and outdated. Turdion is a joke. Over 20% slower while still using more than Core 2 Duo.

Crapteron is awful too. It can't even be used past 8S servers. Tulsa is good for 32S servers. Crapteron is clearly only for really low end market.

Damn, you're right dude. I'll try again:-

Dude you just don't get it; no one wants to buy slow CRAPteron or TURDion processors. They are slow and outdated. TURDion is a joke. Over 20% slower while still using more than power than Core 2 Duo. AMD's mobile processors get fragged by Core Duo, Core 2 Duo is just the icing on the cake. Intel has it's Santa Rose mobile platform super frag ready for next year too!

CRAPteron is awful too. It can't even be used past 8S servers. Tulsa is good for 32S servers. Crapteron is clearly only for really low end market. AMD is fragged in servers with Netburst and outdated FSB archicture! Dude, can you imagine how fragged AMD will be when Tigerton and CSI technology get here next year!?

I predict AMD will post massive operational losses by Q2'07 and BK by Q4'08.

There! Was that better? :D

Real class is if you spend that money on your family but since you dont have one (obviously noone on this earth would want to marry you) you fall out of this discussion.
