Opteron grabs 22.1% of x86 server market
Citing statistics by Mercury Research, AMD reported that its Opteron processor has taken 22.1% of the global x86 server market in 1Q06. This is a 35% increase from AMD's 4Q05 server market share of 16.4%. In revenue terms, Opteron now has 27% of the server market.
Excluding those Dell PowerEdge server with Intel Celeron inside, Opteron's share might be even higher.

What about global market of microprocessor, how is AMD doing?
AMD had 21.4% of the global x86 market in 4Q05. Its share should have increased by another 1% in 1Q06. I analysed this in another post.

You are leaving aside the obvoius candidate coprocessor: The 3D graphics accelerator. I don't wonder if, but when, the video card will go into a Hypertransport socket
3D video card is not going to happen until RAM memory will be GDDR4 or faster...
