INTEL Core Duo powered iMac performs poorly

Macworld tests if Steve Jobs is lying about the claimed 2X performance advantages of the Core Duo iMac over PowerPC G5. The tests show Core Duo was only slightly faster with two CPU cores. Whatever, INTEL's 32 bit technology is only 50% the speed of AMD64.

It may not seem like much right now but once more programs start coming out that are designed for the x86 architecture there will be larger performance increases. This move should benefit everyone but IBM. I'm actually an AMD type guy too but wow you must be the biggest fanboy there is, no offense.
