AMD to fatally frag Intel in HD Video Encoding Performance

You all see those benchmarks where Nehalem is xx% faster than Phenom doing video encoding.
Guess what? AMD is gonna frag Intel with a 17x performance hike with its GPU. Similarly, Nehalem is good at PhotoShop. But wait,  PhotoShop has a driver to use the hundreds of stream processor in AMD's GPUs. AMD should also work on doing PovRay and Cinebench on GPUs.

Nehalem's meagre 4 cores are simply no match the the 800 SPs.

In December, AMD will provide a free download for all of its GPU users a free tool and driver for video encoding. With hundreds of stream processors, HD video encoding will be 17x faster.

BTW, has Anand done his Office 2007 benchmark on 8P 32 core Shanghai yet?

I think you need to block boner's comments, as it is quite annoying and worthless...but then again, so my lack of comments are also worthless ;)

AMD: $2 and 1.4 b market cap, with all its technologies... I think the smarter ones know what to do.
