You are a FUCKING IDIOT

8 core Barcelona II at 3.6 GHz against 4 Core i7 at 3.5 GHz

Just applying frequency normalization at 3.6 GHz to the Core i7 would result in Core i7 scoring in at 4458, beating your 8 Core Barcelona II stillborn abortion.

Stupid COCKSUCKING MOTHERFUCKING IDIOT....and asshat.

What is that?

4351 vs 4333?

Within run to run variance?

What percentage difference is that?

ROFLMAO! Way to go there, cum slurper.

Shari,

How come you won't answer you cell when it rings?

I can't help to think whether I did something wrong.

I have introspected for a while but I have no clear answers.

Did I penetrate you too hard? Too fast? Not fast enough?

Did you swallow too much? Was it too warm? Too cold? Too viscuous?

You always asked for more, and I gave you all I asked.

Why won't you answer my calls anymore? Please, won't your answer?

wutzz

Thanks guys - you are the best advertisement for AMD that I can imagine. If buying Intel means agreeing with you, I should burn every last Intel related building to the ground, and salt the motherfucking earth just to be sure.

Wow, Bulldozer *barely* beats a 3-year old CPU design that's 100 MHz slower with HALF the cores, BY 0.4%!!!

Hasn't it ever occurred to you, Mr. "PhD" that any advantage that's less than 1% can be considered as sampling noise?

However, since I sincerely believe that you love trolling, I applaud your efforts.

"Best advertisement?" The reason why people crap on this blog is because no one above the IQ of a snail take Mr. PhD seriously anymore. Honestly, I go here for the entertainment value and it never disappoints.

Intel fanboys always seem to miss the point and cling to meaningless technicalities.

The number of cores compared in this benchmark are irrelevant. So are the MHz. We are comparing the performance of competing products in the same product category. The clear victor, and as always, is AMD.

>>We are comparing the performance of competing products in the same product category. The clear victor, and as always, is AMD.

This is a marginal victory in one test against an older, smaller part. If it were a crushing, overwhelming defeat (say 15%+ or so), that would be one thing. But it is quite close, but the sizes and costs of these chips are very different, and not in a way that is favorable to AMD. (Quite the opposite.)

If I worked at AMD (and survived the layoffs), these results wouldn't make me feel much better. Given the difference in the size of these CPUs, Bulldozer should CRUSH the i7-2700K. It doesn't, and that is a problem.

If Intel doesn't produce another CPU for a while, well, I guess that's one thing. But they are, and the conclusion one could draw from this is that barring a complete fiasco on Intel's side, they are liable to crush bulldozer, and soon. (Like next quarter.)

BTW, to win here, they don't really even need to crush BD at performance - they can very probably bin their CPUs WAAAAY down, still win in perf and power, keep the price up, and laugh all the way to the bank. They could do some combination of these strategies, too. The point is that they are pretty much liable to have their way with AMD, and there doesn't seem to be a lot AMD can do about it right now.

I think AMD is in real trouble. The level of denial on this blog and other forums reminds me of 3dfx, another company who was much beloved by the fans, but was in reality completely and hopelessly fucked. This is just sad. Sorry.

Anyway, "analysis" like the stuff in the blog post just makes you guys look desperate.

The very fact that someone who claims to have a ph.d can generate such faulty and flawed analysis is just another proof that he is a complete and utter liar.

Further that by the fact that people like "penix" above supports such flawed analysis show you that the intelligence and integrity of the people supporting this clown.

At $100 less, Penix's argument is valid. Unfortunately, on both stock air and water cooling, the Intel part OCs higher and produces lesser heat. And the performance TCO is better on the Intel part as well.

While we do know that BD has FMA4, you have to remember how long it took for current software to even migrate to SSE3, let alone SSE4!

Let's face it BD is a MEH product. Once again, it was over-hyped, over-promised and over-delayed. It's so sad though, since Intel does not see BD as a threat and can still dictate most of the pricing that is within BD's product scope.

Right now, BD is hardly a winner as Penix claims. Sandy Bridge will soon be position at the low-mid category once Haswell shows up next year and the peformance gap will only widen. Trinity? Piledriver? We heard those promises before.

"Intel fanboys always seem to miss the point and cling to meaningless technicalities."

Penix, just shut up. You went into technicalities with "fake quad cores" as a defense even though these Intel quad "fakes" clearly outperformed the Phenoms by a good margin. Certainly way better than BD's 1%.

Meaningless technicalities? What technicality - Bulldozer is a failure. It gets beaten in pretty much every segment by a design that's three years old and in 95% of the cases by a processor that is slower in terms of mhz and fewer cores. In the few cases it does manage a "win" it is by such a slim margin that it's win doesn't even come close to justifying the power consumption.

Bulldozer = Netburst in terms of fail.

Unfortunately - AMD doesn't have the margins to take this kind of failure.

So techinically Penix, you are a moron.

You're wrong. Technically, Penix is a retarded Netburst.
