I was at a friend's home, and he proudly showed me his Core i7 machine equipped with dual graphics card. He played BF3, with pretty high settings.
However, every 5 minutes or so, the screen froze for a few seconds, sometimes right in the battle. In one scene, the friend entered a train, facing some enemy dude with a knife. The friend was about to pull the trigger... Suddenly the screen froze, frenetic hammering on the keyboard could not instill life back to the on-screen characters.
The good thing was, the machine did not BSOD and the game resumed. But my friend (or his role in the game) found himself stabbed in the rear and fell to the floor... probably during the momentary freeze of time.
I wonder how many people have such experience.
Playing BF3, I have the same problem with my 8150, with the patch, there really was no difference (slightly faster FPS).

Shame on Intel to pull such an underdeveloped chips so they cause random freezes in games, FX is far more refined than 2500k anyway.

I have a BD and I was looking for links to help me see if moving higher than DDR3 1600 could help performance and by how much.
ReplyDeleteI'm happy to tweak my system thanks to helpful bloggers and forums but this is the only AMD blog that does nothing or add any useful knowledge whatsoever. Instead, everything is all about exaggerations, useless banter and pretense to credentials and accuracy.
The only thing I share with this blogger is a preference for AMD, but after visiting here, I feel embarrassed to have anything in common with this mug.

FYI, dear SHARISTUPID, the BF3 freeze/BSOD happens on BOTH AMD/Intel. In fact, more of the crashes happen on AMD GPUs (check BF3 site, you moron!).

Unfortunately his inane rational stems from the sole purpose of making AMD a god and everything and everyone else that disputes that or may have a different opinion, no matter how reasonable, is a bag of shit and automatically an Inteller. He deliberately manipulates/interprets data no matter how insignificant to AMD's favor. Problem is, it's too obvious. On top of that, his immature lingo is counterevident of a Ph.D.
He wears a pretend Ph.D. to mimic authority in the field yet proves otherwise. He knows it's his own doing, I'm sure of that.
But a Career Troll is still a Troll in any shape or form. And that means any attempt to engage in a BALANCED and INTELLECTUAL discussion is remote. He will only accept AMD praise and nothing less. He's not doing AMD or us AMD enthusiasts any favors. He has only himself to blame.
